When in college, Vie received numerous scholarships from local ABWA chapters as well as from National ABWA’s Steven Bufton Memorial Education Foundation. Receiving these scholarships fueled her zeal to be an ABWA member, beginning in 1994 to current. Throughout the years, she has served as President, Vice President, and Treasurer., and has held directorships of Education, Gala, and Travel. SOS Ministries is a 501(c)(3) faith-based organization, dramatically impacting the people of Uganda through sound Biblical teaching and training in God’s Word, and through sacrificially demonstrating Christ’s love. Founded by missionary/preacher Shannon Hurley in 2002, SOS is headquartered in Uganda’s impoverished Luweero District, operating out of Kubamitwe village.
